The city proclaims itself to be the Horseradish capital of the world because it holds the area where approximately 85 percent of the world’s supply is grown.

If you find yourself visiting the city during another part of the year, you can get a chance to look at other attractions like the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site. You can venture through the relics and mounds, after which a trip to the interpretive center will pique your interests with information about the sophisticated Native American society that resided in the area.

For the curious wanderer, there are other fun places to visit like the Splash City Water Park where you can go on thrilling slides, and Fairmount Park, for a little horse riding adventure.  Once you’ve taken a comprehensive tour of the city, you can sit down to indulge in a fantastic dining experience, featuring Collinsville’s famous restaurants.
